How it all started

Hi everyone,

Story time! I thought I would tell you a bit more about how Kerh came about and how long the idea had been bubbling (at the table and in my head).

Living in Rotterdam, but my whole life I have loved travelling and discovering new places. A few years ago I decided to take a souvenir from every country I visited, something that would remind me of the beautiful moments I had experienced there. As nice as the shot glasses or the magnets on the fridge are, I wanted something more special. Because I love chips and have loved tableware my whole life, my friend suggested to bring a chip bowl back from every trip. I could totally agree with this and I joked then that I would one day start selling my own pottery.

Besides traveling, I have a second passion: hosting! I love to bring people together, organize dinners (+ or drinks) and create a nice atmosphere around it. There was no shortage of serving dishes at home, and when I brought a dish from every country I visited to Rotterdam, my cupboard became even fuller. By regularly looking at my well-stocked cabinet, I started to dream more and more of one day selling such beautiful items myself.

The idea of bowls from abroad came to life more and more. I regularly brought something for family and friends, when they got excited about the photos of my new purchases. Sometimes on request, sometimes as a valued gift. How much I enjoyed making others happy and seeing the souvenirs I brought back in their homes convinced me, I decided to start my own webshop.

Many more additions to my private collection and a few years later it was time to realize my dream: Kerh was born!

With the establishment of Kerh, the search for beautiful ceramics continues. I no longer only look for bowls, but also for various other pottery that look incredibly beautiful in every household. Because I do not like one particular style myself, I do not want to limit myself to that at Kerh. Expect a varied range and a mix of different color combinations and styles.

That I now not only look around for myself but also for you makes searching for beautiful things even more fun. Contributing to the coziness and beautiful memories in your home with Kerh is a dream come true for me and I hope that Kerh will become the place to find something beautiful for yourself or others.
